What is the Establishing Innovation event all about?

PMO Sydney have another engaging and insightful evening lined up in July.

On the 19th July, they will be joined by Professor Kourosh Keyvani, the Global Managing Director for Design, Innovation and Eminence at Aurecon. Kourosh speaks from decades of experience. He has played key roles in the design and delivery of many innovative, complex and award-winning projects across the globe. His project portfolio includes Wembley Stadium in London; Sydney Olympics Hockey Stadium; Melbourne Star Observation Wheel; and Liberty Place and 5 Martin Place in Sydney, amongst many others.

During the evening Kourosh will be sharing a case study of how Aurecon set up and manage innovation in the engineering sector. He will be sharing the Aurecon journey - how they created and established an innovation culture, how they overcome challenges around innovation management, how innovation and project/program delivery affect each other, what Aurecon have learned on their journey and the value innovation has added to their organization.

There has been a lot of talk in PMO Circles about how the role the PMO has to play in innovation: Should the PMO be responsible for establishing innovation in organizations? Do PMO processes encourage innovation, or do they actively stifle it in favor of 'tried and tested' processes? Whatever your views, this PMO Sydney event promises to give PMO Practitioners insight into a real-world innovation journey that will fuel discussions and generate ideas that PMO people can can apply directly within their own organizations.

If that isn't enough to convince you to attend - there's beer, pizza and networking too!
